maybe be able to position balls yourself so you could practice certain shots/scenarios?

I don't recall it being mentioned. The only issue is that nobody will make a change to the game to allow it. The game has been static for many years now without updates and I don't believe the owner would have any desire to invest, given the site isn't returning what it once did.

This has come up a lot over the years, and would be a great addition to the practice table, along with trickshot recording.

Agreed, also a random placement generator for the Reds like isnooker (don't know if it still exists). At the moment i practice smashing the pack then try to clear in Reg, if i can't i also try some safety.
