what if...instead of people deleting accounts and stuff and creating new ones...what if....you could change ur name like once every 3 months or something...has anyone posted about this before?

Yes, i think you could change your name once a week (if you want) but it has your old usernames on your events or profile...

well, that ewould be stupid because all the people who are offensive to the website could get away with alsorts,

swearing at other members and abusing other's then changing there names.

yes but the site can log peoples ip addresses can it not?
and anyway if you read properly above i said what if you could change ur name every 3 months...not every time you abuse someone. so in theory its not that stupid. what about the people who go on pool or snooker and abuse people then delete and create a new account and still do the same thing they done before?
i just came up with the idea in case u get bored of ur name and instead of creating a new account with a new name just change it to something else

Would be too hard to insert into the site i think.. plus as long as the people's names stay the same were all good.

I have only changed my name once on here. from mcquiston to mr_mcquiston, here's why:

over on pool i had mcquiston, and i wanted to reset my stats (this was before the reset button came in) so i deleted mcquiston on pool, then i attempted to recreate my name, someone else made it and stole it...they haven't logged in since August. so i decided to just recreate a new name here too too avoid confusion.

basically i think its a pointless idea, there is no need to change ur name!

Basically is you want to change your username delete and make a knew one. Simple as, why would you choose a name you wouldnt want in the first place!

fact is lots of people do this, and then you end up with newbies who are really pro's, which is something nobody seems to like.

Not to mention the fact that if you want to change your name yo lose all your stats and any you get from then on are meaningless.

Its called multi-using. (so many people think tha only means having two accounts at the same time! LOL thicko's..)

Put it this way, its a great idea that has been asked abot as long as the site has existed, and, most important, its easy to code and if you dont wanna use it, it makes no difference to ya! Win-Win!
