i have to disagree with you there farren about all games being ranked because you have to take into consideration people that just want a game with nothing really to lose.anyway back to the topic i think it's a good idea.

i would like to see friendlies with guests abolished, just keep friendlies for members vs members and guests vs guests only. But if you want a game with nothing to lose - play as a guest

Nick has said many times that ideally all games will be ranked, so hopefully this will come eventually. As already mentioned, if you just wanna knock about, just play as a guest.

I'd be all for a table for win percentage (for those who have played a certain amount of games, obviously), as it is the nearest indicator of a players overall skill.

This would be especially good if the stats reset function was made to apply only to rank.

I've seen people do this if you want to know who pm me and have like 85% win percentage. I bet you any money i could beat him if i ever played him - poo_cue knows who i mean.

The only decent indicator of players skill would be an average rank, combines with the percentages combined and half centuries/centuries etc.

You are right crusade - both rank and WP can be manipulated in this way. Thinking about it, a break average would be good. (starting from maybe 20 and up)

Since that shows your skill level irrelevant of who you play.

Hmmm - just thought. We're missing out the most sensible method. Play 'em!

an average break would be a bit silly as often you may only get a small break i.e. 1 but i would say an average rank once out of the newbie status would be a fairly reliable factor showing skill.
