It's probably happened most of us. We've had an unassailable lead in a tournament match, only to find that the opponent refuses to give up. And not only that, he/she decides to waste time by dragging every shot out to the last in an effort to force a double DQ.

Suggestion: when the times up, the player in the lead goes through. If not, then definitely a player in the lead whose opponent needs snookers goes through. Wouldn't be hard to implement?

Pseudocode:
Tournament object see the time is up (as per usual). Then...
Tournament queries game to see who's in the lead and if snookers are required
If so ► tournament sends game leader into the next round

Pretty straightforward, no?

Your opinions, please!!!

?? There is; if a game takes too long, both players are eliminated. It's rare.

This is the same as i suggested here : http://www.funkysnooker.com/viewTopic.do?topicid=1195

(cant be bothered to type out the added bit about double DQ's again!)

You're right Clooneman, there is. 20 minutes for a normal tourney, 4 for speed tourneys.
