Yes, look at sean_paul he was 996 and he was playing 850 and getting 0.26 every win, but it could be done im sure!

Well when edge modification begins to kick in, the difference in the rank of your opponent and the points you gain is reduced a lot.

So playing an 850 rank is near to no different than playing a 750 when your that high (about 990+). The difference is pretty much .05.
