Hey all,
I dont think "Newbies" should be able to join tournements. Most new people that are new to the site wouldn't even know how to join a tournement as you hear some guests in the membars bar asking how to join them.
Also most "Newbies" are not "Newbies" they are people wiht fake accounts that make them just to see if they can win the tournement and be a "Newbie" and the same time....i do ask myself why do they do it?
Most of them are all cheeky when they win aswell just because you dont know there other account or they say "Ha you lost to a newbie" when you know there no newbie at all.
Whats everybody's thoughts?

i'm partially in agreement with you tricky, but i would have to put more thought into it do fully agree but i'm well tired, so this is all i'm getting lol.
i think also, it would be a good idea for a "reset" player to have a different status than a newbie or something like "reset newbie" or something like that... that way you can establish between a true new user to a site and a professional just joking about

yerp good point there. i do think newbies shouldn't be allowed to enter tourny's. the only reason i am saying this is because people have more than one account or reset their stats so you underestimate them. also they do show off if they beat you. if te person as genuinely new to te game i wouldnt mind them entering at all.

If they hit a hard half or something or played some amazing shots...I think it takes more than 50 games to get the hang of the game.

i think its unfair to say newbies cant play tourneys, no matter how many reset their account to try and "show off", thier is still the occasional genuine new player who joins the tournaments.
Wouldn't it be fairer for people who have reset their account, to have to play the newbie games before they can re-enter tournaments
Edit:
After reading _brighteyes_ post again, if reset accounts had a differant status then newbie wouldnt that make it easier to change so that genuine newbies can enter and resets can't

Why should newbies play in tournements...if they are new to the site its more than likely there going out in the first round and they just a waste of time in the tournement!

What differance should it make if u go out first or last?
You may feel you have wasted your time playing them but they might of gained a valuble insight into how the game is played against a more experianced player.
Or a person may just play in tournaments. 50 games is quite alot if u only play tournaments

well said there. brilliant point. they will get experience and i think my opinion has changed...let newbie's jut play in the tournys...it doesnt do much harm. if people have reset their stats or opened another account let them because they are just 'cheating' and everyone knows its wrong

Great idea!
Also i really like your idea tricky. I can't see many problems if this was added. 50 games isn't much at all and it will also prevent those large percentage of 'false' newbies easily winning the tournaments. Nice one.

Cheers
Also usually after 50 games on the "newbie" account people know who it is...it goes around.

just a question, what if a person isnt a newbie in 1 version of the game (eg original snooker) and a newbie in the other (arcade), would they still be allowed to play in the arcade tournys, if yes then i'm for this idea
