Hello peeps, just a quick rant about the competition setup! I've been burned twice in the past few days so just wanted to get some stuff off my chest!

Yesterday, I'm winning like 73-24 and my opponent starts to take max time during his shots and his only aim is to play out the remaining time so we both get disqualified. So it happens and I get booted....why?

Today, I'm playing my semi-final and beat my opponent in the first frame. He later leaves the match, and I remain in the room. I wait for ages, and see the late frame message, so decide to try to find a mod to ask what I should do next. Next thing I know, I get kicked for leaving the room.

Twice, through no fault of my own have I been booted from the tourney. I think some re-thinking is required here.

Suggestions:
a) The person who is winning when time up is called should go through to the next round.

b) If a player leaves the room, the opponent still in the room should automatically go through to the next round.

Good idea, though the problem would be that people could take the lead, and time waste from there...

This has been mentioned before, in my eyes both points are valid, bad sportsmanship should not be allowed to make both players be DQ'd,

i totally agree drunk_lad but i think what ever happens theres always going to be a way around.

That happened to me, and I told Driver8 at the time.... Brighteyes replied to my post in the Forums.... Its a Right nasty way to lose.. when ur winning!!... I'm with you on this!!... Sorry to hear m8!!

And yes, when the player leaves a match in a Tournament it doesnt hand you a win, this happened to me in a SEMI and the other semi then became the FINAL!.... I have it under "Robbed of a Final Berth" I think.. somewhere on the Forum!!

This is a very frustrating way to lose or to get DQd. It is also not very nice (in a lesser way of course) to be the mod the player turns to, only to have to say "sorry, there is nothing I can do". Wish we could stamp out this bad sportsmanship.

There must be *something* better to do than to just DQ both players.

as i sed surely it cud be made better but im sure the players with bad sportsmanship will find there way around somehow
