Question for the Moderator's I guess......

The vast majority of people I play on this fantastic, addictive game are great. Courteous, polite, appreciative of good shots/breaks (not that I get many!), in short...a pleasure to play. However, there are a minority that spoil my, and I'm sure others, enjoyment.

I'm certainly no prude and can indulge in barrack room banter with the best of them but why oh why do certain individuals insist on being abusive? Mostly, I'll admit, if I've just had a good break or beaten them. Resulting in me having no option but to 'send' a complaint.

Just wondering really what happens to these person's when a complaint is received against them? And does it work as a deterrent?

well basically, the complaint will be sent to an admin, they will review it then if it is worth a ban they will ban, they will leave a little not for us and we will keep an eye on then

Does it work though? Do you log ISP No.'s? Do 'major' offenders slip back through the net?

if they are 'major' offenders we tend to ban them and is nessaccary we ban their IP's aswell

Actually we've just updated complaints so it's a lot easier for us to deal with. We can react a lot quicker now.

Average response time for complaints is 4 hours, which is pretty good (considering nightly ones are often not processed till the morning).

just wondering nick how do you know if the person sending the complaint is lying and just submitting it out of spite because he/she lost a few games?what happens then?

When someone clicks 'send complaint' either from the game or from the pm box. The chat log from that game is sent therefore allowing admin to see what was actually said. Noone can then turn around and say they didnt say this or that because its in black and white!

Much appreciated Nick and maybe some feedback about the perpetrator's 'community service' or otherwise............. may be a good idea to the person who originally got fed up with being abused?
