i have had a few people PM me today about this new feature, i have told them what its for ect. so, i thought i would make this thread to explain in a little more detail what this actually means!.

Occurrences is where you make a high break, i.e 99 and then after that you beat that high break that is classed as an occurrence, it is basically where you have a high break, and beat it.

everytime you beat your highest break, you will get another occurence and you will keep getting occurrences until you carn't beat your break anymore E.g when you get a 107 or a 147.

i feel that there should of been a little bit of an explanation for this feature, because until i actually got one myself, i was a little confused ( only realised it was implemented earlier today ). it is a very nice addition.

i was wondering, whilst we are on the topic about high breaks ect. could we have the maximum break implemented?, i feel it would be a great addition for the high ranked players et. not me cause i struggle to get a 1 0 7 never mind a 107.

Hmm OK ronni - I understood it slightly differently.

I thought it was simply:

The number of times you have hit your own personal highest break.

e.g. I might have a personal highest break of 42, which I have never beaten, but equalled it twice since i got it. my occurrences would read:

Highest break 42
Occurrences 3

Now, if I have a good day and hit say 45, then my occurrences would read

Highest break 45
Occurrences 1

Yep, it's when you hit your own personal best. This way, users with 107's can have the amount of times they hit that break on their profile.

Well Explained Ron! Even though I understood it. Very helpful for new players and people that dont understand.

I was under pressure there for a minute!!! Thinking that i had to track down loads of players that i'd explained occurences to!!!

Obviously now brass has explained, this works for 107's as well as your highest - so - best of both worlds!!!

so what happens if say someone starts off and beats their high break 10 times before they get a 107? Is the occurences reset to 0 to make it fair on the people who have hit say 5 107s with 5 occurences for example?

I think it must be what rocket_ronni said, every time you beat your high break you get an 'Occurence'.

Look on ste_efc_'s profile, it's like:

Highest Break: 102
Occurences: 2
Centuries: 1

How could he have had 2 102s if he had only had 1 century?

thats a bad idea, it should be for that particular break as it would be unfair on people with a 107 now, if someone gets many higher breaks then gets a 107 they will have like lots of occurences pushing them higher in the max break table even though they only have 1.

It must be that if you get a 107 every time you hit that you get an 'Occurence' for that as well. Look at Sean_Paul's profile.

as for sean_paul, i'm not sure if it was your highest break since it was updated, or the 107 counted straight away, it more than likely did count straight away, but we will now when nick tells us
