I really hope some have you have some tips for helping me, i quit yesterday and have not had a fag since, it's so hard i have even been sent home from work today and was told to have the rest of the week off as holiday to help me. Brilliant of work supporting me but i feel like smashing something up...
Just ha a woman call me on the house phone (obviously from abroad) as there was a 10 sec delay and could tell by her accent, she told me her name was Carol and i argued back to her it wasn't (companies from overseas have to give a british sounding name) and she wound me up so much i punched the phone and broke it so dreading when my mrs gets back...
But anyway if any of you have any tips to stop me feeling so angry and to help this go away quicker i'd be glad to hear from you, i have got through so many sweets, mints & fruit today it's crazy but still i want more.
I've been smoking 20 a day for 10 years so finding it really difficult

All I can say is that I'm really proud of you. My grandad recently died from lung cancer, and it absolutely tore me up. I love him to bits, and when i was little i got him to stop just by constantly bothering him and crying when he smoked lol. He quit for over 10 years, but he was a sailor, and smoked until he was like 50 something, so i guess the cancer had a headstart on him.
I think the best motivation is thinking that every cigarette you smoke increases the chances of you getting cancer. Just think of how torn up your family would be, if you have kids, they could end up fatherless.
Stick with it, and if you need someone to yell at to get your stress out i'm always here

It's all about willpower, you have to dedicate yourself to stopping the habit. Relying on patches or other products helps to reduce the cravings but in the long run, it's costly and some people develop other addictions.
