Just wondering what the rules are for user pictures, it states that no cartoons are allowed but i have seen a member of staff with a cartoon picture,

Im not being funny or trying to cause trouble but i have tried to have a cartoon picture myself and it has been refused, im very confused as what is allowed and what is not could somebody help me pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee??

I have requested clarification on this issue drunk lass beacuse i have had a couple of people ask me exactly the same thing. Hopefully we will have an answer very soon so we know where we stand.... please be patient with us...thanks.

I've seen a moderator with one on and started to wonder, but he changed it pretty soon after I noticed...

Just for anyone that still isn't sure:

Most images such as cartoons off the internet are protected by copyright law which is why we do not allow them.

Here is a list of pictures that may not be accepted:

- Pictures of famous people. This includes footballers and snooker players (as we get these a lot)

- Gifs or animated pictures can't be used as a user picture (as these images are shown on the game applet)

- Any form of drug or drug advertising

- Weaponry. This inludes someone holding a weapon or a weapon on display.

- Adverising or focusing on other smoking or drug products

- Alcohol/drinks advertising. Someone holding a bottle of beer or wine is fine put picture may be rejected if focus is on the bottle.

- Cartoons/Cartoon characters/Comic book characters are rejected for copyright reasons.

- Adult pictures are not allowed for obvious reasons.

- Record labels or covers can alos be protected by copyright law.

- Any pictures containing swearing, violence or scenes of a threatening nature that may cause offence to other users are also rejected.

In a nutshell:

Due to copyright laws you may only upload pictures that you have taken or that belong to you.

Remember this is a free service in which anyone of a certain age can join so any pictures that may cause offence may be rejected.

If you see an image that is deemed unacceptable or does not meet the required criteria then please use contact us or contact an online staff member. We will then decide whether is should be removed.

would a simple image from gogle saying 2good be allowed then? cos most of peoples images are clearly from google!!

No wondered people are sending pics that arn't allowed if other people have pics that aren't allowed already on.
