Thought it would be a good addition if you were able to jump the ball when you put loads of bottom on the white and hit it hard like in real life.. Obviously the cue ball has to be a bit away from the object ball.

Opinions?

im share it is pointless because you can only chip the white ball if it dosn't jump over another ball otherwise it is deemed as a foul i believe

i think this has been mentoined in the past but not sure i think it would be good but could get lag during it but not quite sure on this

nah not a good idea if you did jump over a ball it would be a foul you only see this in misscues in real snooker and we dont want to make the game to complicated!

The problem with this suggestion is that it requires a 3D game engine to be possible. (note, that doesn't mean a 3D game, the calculations necessary to compute a jump shot require 3D physics - put that there since it was misunderstood on the pool thread)

Strangest thing about asking for it here is that in snoker a jump shot is a foul

would be quite good if you could miscue and knock the white off the table, causing a tear in the cloth as well?

also, the odd random table where the balls all roll to one corner would be fun too

Swerve shots also require 3D processing (cue butt angle) to effect.

the proble is how would u make a swerve shot diificult or harder than a usual shot. also the problem of needing a 3d thingymabob!
