after playing a tournement and winning it i think that there should be some sort of reward for being the winner... maybe something like an extra 10points onto ur ranking which could see someone get inside that 1000 mark

Yep discussed many times, the problem with a straightforward "reward" is the effect it has on overall rankings (due to no possibility of loss).

There are only so many rank points to go round, so to speak.

As i said on the other thread, simply having ranked tournaments means the winner would have won up to 7 ranked games (128 player tourney), at an average of only 5 points per game thats a healthy 35 points gained by the winner.

Pretty good reward methinks
