hey was just wondering if we cud by anychance have a name change by contacting admin.. e.g i changed my name on here cos i got bored which also resetted my stats... is there a chance we cud contact admin to change our name for a fee of say 50 rank points..... it cud be done by making a thread and we post with what we want our new name to be then 1 day in the month the admin change it and deduct sum rank points for their trouble. cud be like an open window say once a month but limit us to 1 name change evry 3 mnths??? hope this makes sence

err. well i think you should be able to change it anyway?

a fee of points, there would be no point in that.. what will the admins do with the points... buy some new stuff for the site? lol, and if you were able to change your name it could become confusing, not only for players who are really good, playing someone they think is not as good. but also for some trouble makers that are being watched or something, I think it would be an incredibly difficult feature to implement.

I like the idea of people being able to change their names (Though I wouldn't personally do it).

Maybe there could be a limit of changing your name only once every 6 months or a year instead of a points deduction? And then on the person's profile have a little area that says 'Previous Usernames', listing them there...

hehe i was goona say the same thing mate what would the admin do with the points lol! i dont think this is a good idea as it misleads people like if one day im playing bowinkle (for example) and hes 930 (for example) then the next day hes called _potter_ (for example) and ranked 880 it would be misleading and taking50 points off him would also hinder us!

the point deduction wud jus be a way of losing something if u wanted to change ure name, just so it isnt free. so im now ranked 910, i cud delete my id and remake and come as a newb, aint that misleading???? its only the same, its jus a way of changing ure name without losing stats

That pretty much the idea suggested on pool.

Think of the players name as an alias - your login stays the same but you can change the display name (limited, as you suggest, to stop idiots changing it everyday).

Friends would know who each other are anyway, and anyone can check the profile to see the previous usernames.

I support this idea as anything which could help prevent people deleting is a good idea.

It's easier to keep tabs on people if you just have to check their profile to see who they are
