I was just wondering in tournements if there is no opponent available you get a bye so why sometimes in 1st rounds you see like 7 or so people with byes, surely out of the 7 byes there is 3 games within them.

Just thought it could speed things up a bit.

it because with a few bye's it leaves everyone having a game for the rest of the tournament. i cant explain it well but i no what i mean

yeah thats what i meant.

its to do with the 'doubling' numbers. 1,2,4,8,16,32,64,128,256 etc etc
