Scenario: i am in the members bar and i nip away for ten mins, which i regularly do, and people try and chat to me without getting a response. Could be seen as ignorant. So they know that we have nipped away or are busy couldnt we have something where you select yur staus.
for example curtisorren (busy)
" (lunch)
" (be right back) etc

if you were active then there would be no status.

there could also be a other status where you type in what yr doing if it wasnt on the list but this maybe abused.

This has been mentioned a lot and would be extra useful for mods. Everyone has to get up and leave sometimes, and it can be frustrating for members not to realise they're not there, and for mods to come back to loads of messages asking why they wont reply.

A method, which could be implimented right away, would be a "be right back" chatroom.

If you need to go, quickly move to that room, then people know you're not avaliable

I think that maybe after a certain amount of inactivity, it could say (idle) on that user's pm.
