i was playing in the 1st round of the tourney tonight,the score was 44-1 to me but there were plenty balls left so anyone could have won but my opponents computer froze,not his fault resulting in nothing happening in the game apart from the clock running down.

we were both kicked out when time ran out.

can this rule be changed? i could in theory knock out the best player as well as myself if i played safe for 20mins.

I think there was a problem with the server during the first round. You will see a similar scenario happened to a lot of others too.

Nick has been made aware of what happened tonight and he will be looking into it.

Regarding the actual rule of who gets DQ after time period is going to be looked into before the next snooker update, so we will keep you informed.
