I am just wondering about something to do with the Arcade Breaks.
Usually, high ranked players place the ball at the green, and hit the second red in the pack to try and pot some.
Now, i have just tried the exact same, but by the yellow in practise. The white always goes in when you place it by the yellow, yet rarely goes in when you place it by the green. It is the exact same shot, but on the different side.
So why are the outcomes different?

Also you find that if you get a respotted black, it is easier to pot on 1 side than the other.

I'm loving this!
Its all to do with your monitor. If its not level then the balls will obviously veer off a little.
This often affects newbies who dont realise the monitor should be laid flat to play funkysnooker, and try playing with it sitting up as normal.
That explains why, when you set the ball by the yellow, it curves down, and due to the angle of the reds, goes in the pocket. Whilst the shot from next to the green, will fall naturally also, but therefore miss the pocket.
Simple really!
*note - the above content is complete rubbish. There are no differences in the shot other than in the perception possibly created by an incorrectly calibrated monitor.
Or yourself
