Edit - but if you dont want to read that, the simple version is that if you have achieved a rank of over 950, the amount you win each time is reduced because you're so good you're expected to win.
It also happens the opposite way round for players of very low rank.

yes the edge modification kicks in when you go past the 900 rank mark and gets steeper the higher your rank, its basically to make it almost impossible to reach 1000 points - which is the mecca of the funkysnookerers
