I think you guys need to lighten up a little.

A virtuoso (from Italian virtuoso, late Latin virtuosus, Latin virtus meaning: skill, manliness, excellence) is an individual who possesses outstanding technical ability at singing or playing a musical instrument. The plural form is either virtuosi or the Anglicisation, virtuosos, and the feminine form sometimes used is virtuosa. Virtuosi are often musical composers as well. During the age of Baroque music many, if not all, composers were also virtuosi on their respective instruments.

So, the fact is, virtuoso has nothing to do with snooker and virtuosa is the female version. However, different words were needed when assessing rank and virtuoso was selected because its widely known as the best. At no time have we attempted to undermine females at this game, hence the reason why there is one name only for each category. It will not be changed so there is no argument.
