I was wondering can we have a separate button for reseting status on Arcade/Snooker and a reset "rank" button.
I would like to reset my rank on 1 of my stats not my whole status.

There was talk about this on funkypool and it got dismissed as people would reset there rank just so they could be come one of the best players over time. I think if you want to reset your rank then you should forfit the whole of your stats, if your that good then your get them back with ease

The idea sounds good but would develop into being a way of getting 'perfect stats'. Stats should ideally show the true identity of skill instead of having the option to reset countless number of times on a game just to get it perfect.
Sorry mate, but if it was upto me it would get a thumbs down, but it isn't so what do others think?
EDIT : Post has a similiar response to revolver's , think we must of been typing it at the same time! =)

IMO the reset button should be taken away as people use it to get "perfect stats" (as said above)
it is unfair to players at lower and higher ranks that play these players which most of the time are virtuoso's that have reset

Personally i think the reset option should be taken away altogether.I am quite new here but think the reset stats option is for people who just want people to think they are great!People should be proud of their records...after all, we all got to lose sometime!

The way I look at it....
Ronnie O'sullivan or Steven Hendry couldn't 'reset' their stats...

If I remember correctly, the reason why the "reset stats" button is there is to prevent users to create a new account when they want to reset their stats.
I personally also dislike this button, but I think the admins leave it because if it was removed, users would continue to reset their stats, but by creating new accounts - which isn't good.
Back to the original query, I don't think it would be a bad idea to separate the "reset stats", as I consider the two games are well different, so the stats and the options around them could be totally separated.
But I'd like to leave the decision to people who are really using this "reset stats" options and to the admins, maybe I just don't get correctly the point in this case.

I dont think status should ever be aloud be reseted! This would solve the problem of the FAKE NEWBIE!

Mate, that isn't the point..
Fake or not fake they still beat you or they gave you a good game.. I just don't understand all this "fake newbie" business

The reset option was added (fairly recently) to get around the "problem" (I dont get it either) of fake newbies, since you can check if they have reset or not.
As already noted, before this option was introduced, people who wanted to reset simply deleted thier account which led to messy forums etc.
Keeping stat reset to cover all stats is deliberate, to help restrict abuse of the feature.
