So, well, I'm recently having these lagging problems, that won't let me play and enjoy it.
Don't know what caused it, as I never had this issue before (just occasionally..), but now it is really driving me crazy..
Anobody, any idea?

I don't know what it can be so ill just suggest a few things.

MSN, music, downloading, uploading, ad's, etc can make you lag.

Make sure your not doing anything like that but then if you still got the same problem
I recommend that you run a few scans such as virus,spyware,melee etc

If you don't have any of these i highly recommend that you download AVG,Spybot search & distroy and Ccleaner.

Just look up the name on a search engine and they will come up.

They are all free so no need to worry about spending money and they are completely virus & spyware free.

I also would like to add

un-install java then re-install it again and then download flash version 8.

flash version 8 seems to get rid of the lag for some users

I would suggest a ad-remover but some can course lag too

If it is the adverts, try right-clicking on them, move your cursor on to quality, and click low. If this doesn't help, it might be you are doing something as Imcrap said, Msn, Music, Downloading or uploading.

If it still doesn't work try running a virus scan and see what happens.

Are your download speeds fast? If so I wouldn't advise re-installing java as I couldn't get on the game for a good 2 months because of this.

The problem is I play from work, and have no administrative rights at all.. But I know the system is properly secured so I would doubt the existence of spyware. (I'm not sure though, right now I'm scanning PC with Symantec)
I exited MSN but it doesn't seem to be the problem. Java version --> 1.1.4, Flash version --> 9
..as for the adverts.. where are they supposed to be? In the table window I only see a banner displaying the half centuries of Arcade, (top right) and it's .jpg, so no quality options..

Do most people at your work use computers? If so it could be because they are all using the internet which is slowing you down. It happens to me at school all the time.

Internet connection speed doesn't cause lag, it slows down the time between shots, but not the action of taking them.

I suspect your problem is flash version 9, which is extremely resource hungry.

Even though you dont have full admin rights, its possible you will be allowed to remove/install plugins like flash.

If you can, removing version 9 and installing version 8 (there is a link to a download in the lag thread on pool http://www.funkypool.com/viewTopic.do?topicid=8887 )

Another thing thats helped a large percentage of lag sufferers is upgrading to Internet Explorer 7, especially if they're been using firefox.

I think it would be handy to get the lag thread up and running again, maybe have a computer and internet forum space like on pool.

I personally think it would be beneficial.

Spinner, is there any other way to stop it maybe because, cinnamon isn't allowed to download anything?

Another option is to disable flash in the browser. How to do this depends on the browser in question, but doing that means the animations in ads are disabled.

A look through the browser add-ins/plugins menu's should make the process quite clear.

Hey everybody, I restarted the computer today, and the lag issue seems to be ..gone!
It's stupid I didn't think of it before.. My computer hasn't been shut down or restarted at all in the last few days, and probably that's what was causing the lagging.. *blushes*

It will keep your computer in to shape if you turn it off when your finished with it

for everybody... i think lag happends when the links in the top right refreash or upload whilst your taking your shot! get that thing where you disallow popups! works for me i no longer have those links now so i never get lag!

Just a small reminder that blocking the adverts breaks the terms of service you agree to by signing up.
