does anyone else agree that the player with the most points should go thro, rather than both being disqualified if you run out of time ? Its unfair that you should go out because they wont concede? especially in the speed trny's

This is why the 12 point DQ was brought in, to try and prevent this. IMO there is enough time for a game to usually finish. In extreme circumstances, when it is a very tactical game, then this could work... although I believe (in speed tourny esp) players should just 'up the ante' and play more agressivly! lol

i agree with jammymac the one with the most points should go through this will stop others who know the cant win from getting you both disqualified

The problem with that is that it would be too easily abused by players getting ahead then wasting time so that they go through.

As Luckypot said, the system used now promotes aggresive play, which is most suitable in a timed tournament environment.
