the person who pots the black to reach a respot should be able to choose who goes as if u make a 43 clearance to respot then he pots u feel downhearted wheras if u chose him to go then he potted then its your fault and not games fault !!

I dont think it should be the person who pots the black at the end, i think it should just be a random selection.

so do i because the one who gets the black can spot it off the spot every time

this has been discussed before, please take time to search through the forums before posting new threads incase the subject has already been discussed.

last time this was discussed everyone agreed that the best action would be a something like a closes to the cusion shot and the person who wins gets to take the shot

What about forcing the player that shoots first to NOT pot the black at the first shot? It would at least be very realistic, as that's what we can see in real life, they always play a safety. Plus, it would be 100% skill, and probably closer to the snooker thinking than the cushion shot solution.

OK, arcade snooker is just all about fun, and I think people wouldn't enjoy such a rule, but maybe it's not a too bad idea for original?

i disagree with that, in snooker you can legally pot the ball off the respot. This would give to much of a disadvantage to the person taking the respot, so we might end up with a similar problem but in reverse! - people not wanting to take the shot first.

I like the lagg idea the ball must be hit up and down the table and the closest to the top cusion wins, would be hard to code though and some clever sole might try and hit the oppositions cue ball .. how could tht be stopped?

Yeah i like the lag idea but also to deicide to who breaks off at the start aswell, and have the white in different positions every time so it doesn't get worked out how to be done.



How about one person at a time taking their shot and a marker for the person who took the first shot. Then you will know who goes first or last, therefore no mixing up!



This would be a great idea! Simply because you could just hit the black on the side cushion and the white on the other side cushion, making it very hard for your opponet. I think i prefer this to the lag idea for the black ball respot.

The best way for this to be decided in my opinion is by the 'lag' rule
