i havent seen this idea on the forum before so i thoght i may aswell suggest it.
what about a doubles tournament where 2 members can team up and play doubles.
It would work in the same way as a normal tournament but at the start teams of two are created and then they are randomly picked against other teams.
any thoughts?

dont think it would work.. if one person logged out for any reason, that would dq both people, meaning interest would drop

its been discussed, and i believe the mini golf option on pool was introduced to test this

Theres an idea for this, just thought up in my head that if your partner abandoned, you could carry on on your own?
Other than that its an ok idea.

Its a doubles tournament for a reason . A way around this could be the person who scored the least points AND got eliminated in the round before could be brought in as this other persons partner. This way would keep it an actual doubles tournament, as well as giving the person who didnt get a chance to make an impact, a second chance later on.

doubles tournaments would be complicated, i like the idea of doubles as just a friendly option, if your partner leaves you lose, simple as that.
