I stil cant quite work it out, if you put side or top on the cue ball, does it remain on the ball after hitting the cushion so that if it hit another cushion it would spin again, or not. I dont think it does, but it does in real life to a certain extentso could this be changed?

What we have to remember here, is that it is funkysnooker.

Not all spin is going to be spot on, although on original it is a lot closer. Arcade snooker is for a bit of fun, and the spin must work ok... otherwise there wouldn't be hundreds of max breaks out there!

Ok, my question was more does the spin stay on the cue ball aftre hitting another ball or a cushion??

OK, I was just replying to your second point

No I don't think so, not side anyway, top spin or screw defy the speed of the cue ball, therefore cusions obviously play a part.

all spin DOES stay on the cue ball after in contact with another ball

That's Not true at all the spin tends to come to effect if the cue ball hits the cush with out hitting another ball, if it hits the object ball say the red the it will effect the shot/pot but wont stay on of the cushion as much as it would when it doesn't hit the object ball that's how I see it.

(if that made anty sense ?)

My observation is that the side spin remains partially after hitting a ball, and the top and bottom spins remain partially after hitting the cushion.

As i understand it, the basic physics of the game regarding spin transfer etc are the same as in real life.

However, the "intensity" of these actions (I hope that makes sense) has been tweaked over time to maximise the playability of the various game types.

Edit - remember in real life the varying conditions of the nap (texture of the cloth, if you like) of the table changes due to people placing bridges, sliding elbows etc

However, on the funkytables, we get to play every shot as if it were on a newly brushed table.. Aren't we lucky!

I have noticed the slower you hit the ball with top spin, it changes direction slightly.

Yep! Definately! And then the white follows it really fast.
