my connection often cuts off during games and i lose points, is there a way that this can be recognised and the points not be taken,its unfair !!

When the game detects it lost its connection to the server, it will try 8 times to reconnect (that's what you can see on the top-right corner of the game: "Connection attempt 3/8" means it's trying to reconnect for the 3rd time).
This gives you some time to get your connection back (for example you could just have to wait, or sometimes to plug off/in your modem, or anything else).
I don't know exactly what time these 8 connection attempts take exactly, but they should give you more than one minute.

Please also understand that the game can't wait too long (like 10 minutes) for your connection to be back, because during your connection attempts, your opponent is stuck in the room and waiting for you, and if he leaves while you're reconnecting, he'll be the one to lost the points.

Also, we can't just not take your points away when you're logged off because of a disconnection, because it would be too easy for anyone to plug off his modem or pull off his network cable when he's losing...

I think the current solution is a good compromise and gives everyone chances. If your connection is lost too often or too long, I suggest you search the reason of these connection errors... maybe complain to your service provider.
