Is it possible to exceed 1000 rank?

I've noticed that the highest rank ever reached on funkysnooker is 994.0 by virtuoso107. So can anyone actually reach 1000 rank?

no it isnt officially due to drop off you can only reach 999.9 which would then be rounded up to 1000 but will still be classified as a virtuoso.
This i think is the case with ranks of below 500 points but im not sure

You've never reached that and never willlll
It is very hard to reach 1000, myself, boz_lad and steven/cue_wizard, have been to 996-997 and you hardly even get 0.2 for beating virtuosos. In my opinion it can't be done without cheating.

There you go. The reason why you can't get above 1000 and vise versa to get to 500.
