I watched it live on bbc interactive, i don't like ronni ossulivan but i punched the air when i seen that final black go in, the shot to break the red and pink up was amazing!

Can't deny on his day he is the best player ever!

it was funny because i was actually thinking that he would get the 147 the second he potted that 1st red, i think thats because thats what i do when i see the 1st red go down on this game lol!

And we have a new phenomenon at the Crucible! Allister Carter also hit a maximum break!!! A wonderful one in my opinion, full of hard positioning from blacks to reds.

... And he takes 73500£ away from Ronnie, as the 147 break prize is shared among all the players who hit it.

Congratulations Allister Carter!!! A very nice one for his first maximum break!

And they have now broken a new record: it's the first time ever that 2 maximum breaks have been hit in the same tournament! Amazing!

PS: I think something really special is happening this year at the Crucible. Think that just today, Hendry got to 112 and Ebdon to 113, both on the road to a 147. They are all on fire!
