A poll for game queries would be better, e.g 63% of people like the idea of billiards.

Polls aren't used here simply because they rarely provide actual useful information.

Active discussions (like this one) mean that only ideas which people have real views about move forward.

Some of the other forums i use have polls, but you must make a 250 character post in the thread before you can vote. That style would be fine because you wouldn't get people voting who really dont care.

I like it, condenses the useful information however renders debates useless even though they aren't! Its good, some fun polls could be implemented too

Polls have been mentioned here before and the general concensus was that they would be a welcome addition. Maybe we should have poll about whether we should implement polls
