Sign of a great team is winning when not playing well, boy did man utd do that today. I don't feel sorry for chelsea often but they hit the post three times tonight, and the third time was vital and argueably because of the pitch.

Also what on earth was ronaldo doing? If your gona miss give it everything, don't be cocky in them situations!

Still i can't be bitter here, we have won it 5 times, they have won it 3 and chelsea are still to win it.

oh and you were the champions last weekend not today

Congratulations to Man Utd they might not of played well enough in the final to deserve it but they have played amazing through the whole tourny :P So I guess best team won in the end

We didn't play bad tonight at all, first half we dominated the first half and should of been 4-0 up, Tevez got a header saved by Cech and also was close to clipping Rooneys cross in, Carrick forced a great save from Cech aswell just after Tevez miss and then the Ronldo goal.

I don't feel for Chelsea but Frank Lampard and John Terry, Lampard basically because of what he has had to go through recently, Terry because of his penalty miss, It WAS unfortunate as he slipped but i guess that's football for you.

SIR Alex Ferguson is a genuis of the game and has done so much for the club!!!, also for all you Man Utd fans we have had confirmation from the wizard himself that he IS staying at Old Trafford (Cristiano Ronaldo).

I'm so happy! When Ronaldo missed, I thought it was all over... then JT and former scouser Nicolas Anelka bottled it! I hate Chelsea so much so I am overjoyed!

I never said We was the best team throughout the game, I said We was the best team in the first half, which clearly, We was!!, it was all United in the first half and all Chelsea in the second, extra time to be honest non of them did great as they was tired and the majority of the players was suffering from cramp.

That wouldn't have happened if they kept with the plastic lol how ironic

Don't feel sorry for Chelsea, but do feel for John Terry. Was delighted to see Drogba sent off though! In a way, that lost them the game, 'cause no doubt he would have taken a penalty, and he most probably would have scored (Though you could have said that about Ronaldo!)

The pitch was terrible! It showed from the start, players slipping all over the place, and while it didn't look that bad from the normal TV view, when it gave the over-head view you could really see how bad condition the pitch was in, despite this being the first game played on it since it was re-layed!

However, it was to both team's disadvantages, the pitch was at fault for Terry to slip over (But not completely for making him miss), though you could also say that the pitch stopped Van Der Sar for having the oppurtunity to save Lampards shot (He slipped just before it when he was trying to get close to the ball). but as with Terry, Lampard may still have scored.
