does anyone know of any free on screen recording programms that are easy to download and use

like hypercam 2

iv tried hypercam 2 and when i recorded me playing i got way to much lag and i couldnt really get playing properly

so anyone know of any others?

Iv just downloaded Hypercam2 and tried to record and i got loads of lag, does it do that with your Lyle?

Ah, ok, go on to the wallpaper bit of your page. Then right click, go onto properties, then go on the settings tab. On this bit you will find it says "color quality", turn it down to 16 bit. Then click on where it says advanced, then click on the troubleshoot tab, then where it says "hardware acceleration", turn it down to none. Then click apply for both of them (also, you may find when you click apply on the hardware acceleration, the screen goes black for a second or two, dont worry about it its meant to happen)

Also, I use hypercam 2 hehe. But I have vista so it doesn't lag me.

same last night mate i downlaoded it started recording cuddnt even break off

hah, i still suggest that u use HyperCam2 because it is easier to use and to find too.

Any recording software will cause some lag, so a lot will have to do with the speed of your computer and your operating system.

Hypercam is very good but very heavy to run. If you find it lagging your system, you can try one of the lighter ones like bulent's screen recorder

Neither products cause me any lag. So if you have a high spec PC you shouldnt see any performance issues.

You'd need a good graphics card, plenty of RAM and a sizeable processor.

It's also worth mentioning the recording settings.

Make sure you're saving to raw .avi format.

Most of these programs will let you save to mpeg or divx format, but these compressed file types require a lot of power to convert "on the fly" while recording.
