Congratulations to Lewis Hamilton on an awesome performance and win in the British Grand Prix.

Special mention has to go to Nick Heidfeld for his epic double overtaking and 2nd place and Rubens Barrichello for his unlucky 3rd place.

Shame about the poor performance of Ferarri but we are now set for a memorable second half of the season with the top 3 contenders on equal points and Robert Kubica just 2 points behind on 46.

Can't wait for Hockenheim in two weeks

Kovalainen had a very inconsistent day in the second McLaren with several spins so he ended up with only fifth, at least he passed Alonso late on.

Can't agree more. It just goes to show that a bit of rain and Silversone (R.I.P. ) is guaranteed to bring out the class performances.

No it's from 2010 - before then they will have to do major revamping of the circuit. Details are due to be released over the next few weeks as to their short term plans (they only have 2 years to increase the track length, run-off areas and build F1 pits etc.) but have promised a £100m revamp over 5 years.

Donnington has hosted F1 before (European Grand Prix in 1993) and here is a pic from that race of the Craner Curves - which are going to be kept thankfully

Can't we have a Formula 1 thread for this! Instead of buddytobud keep making a thread and cluttering the forum up.
