When playing snooker or even watching snooker. Each player trys to get the cueball as close to the cushion as possible, ruling out the the other player using backspin. Would love to see it implemented into original, Would make much more tactical games. Only problem i could see with this is when the ball is along the cushion the game will think no backspin can be used if shooting away from the cushion, but if i wanted to pot a ball down the side of cushion. Technically i could see the bottom of the ball and the game might not.. Think it should only be in original also

Good idea. Why only original?

Because arcade is made out to be the fun style of snooker which is simpler and easier to play. Adding this to the arcade game would take out them aspects. This idea has been talked about before I can remember, personally I wouldnt like to see it added, I feel the game would be outgrowing itself if it were too be implemented.

I think this feature would involve unwanted changes in the gameplay, as you would have to select your shot's direction before selecting the spin, which is the inverse of the current sequence.

But if someone comes with a good idea that allows to implement this, while keeping the gameplay as it is, it would be interesting.

To impliment this properly comes down to the old 3D game engine requirement, in order to take account of the cue's vertical angle.

The other option is to "force" the point of contact "outwards" depending on the lineup of the shot, if that makes sense?

But a player could really want to hit it towards the cushion, even if the cue ball is very close to it.

I could see players pushing out to the cusions to play a safety at the expense of 4 misley points.

Originally I planned to include this in the game, not just for cushions but for other balls, but now I'm pretty much against it as it adds complexity.

Let's just say that the shot-taker is a perfect cue-ist who can even apply backspin the length of the table. Remember they're also 100% accurate as well, whereas in real life long shots would have a degree of uncertainty.

Nick is right on the money.

And also this could be a good implement in arcade to but say if someone was on a cent/147 and they had to play a cushion shot and needed backspin on the yellow or green or something like that, it wouldn't be taken as a good implement by them and therefore would be a arguement to have the addition taken of.

And say if a vast amount of people had this same problem, its would'nt be taken down as a good addition therefore cause more arguements.

Sorry but i'mm all against this idea.
