The carom table has been updated with the following modifications to bring it inline with official rules.

- The table area is now exactly 2:1 ratio
- The table has markings along each 1/8 or 1/4 of the table sides
- The ball starting positions are corrected

Send complaint button now only appears on the PM window. It will send the chat text from both chat areas. Also the complaint repeat time has been reduced from 30 to 2 minutes.

Timeouts for non-responding and idling users has been decreased. You're now logged out after 90 seconds inactivity or 3 random shots.

New cue control mode accessible via options. This will allow more consistent cueing on some computers, and easier to make slow shots in particular.

When breaking off on original it is still skipping a few pixels witch results in breaking elsewhere. Other than that its another nice touch to the site. Well done.

i was speaking to someone the other day about the markings on carom table.. think it was cuchulain but cant remember. Makes the table look better. and easier for the angles.

torres__9 the cue controls will make the cueing action smoother. It is optional. Go to options, Select alternate cueing control on the general options and see if it works better for your setup. If not just untick the option

nick on the lower random shots. does the timeout for when to click start game still count as a random?

try doing a very low shot.. on cueing control i can do a shot where there is no white bar but on normal it has lil power behind it.. im going to be switching between the two depending on what shot type im playing

oh.... i thought it did.. as before the first random shot seemed to be 2/5... maybe i wasnt paying attention

I've noticed when entering a game and my opponent randoms it's 2/3 does this mean that their random shots have carried over ?

yeah nick, if an opponent doesnt click start game and the 30 seconds count down. And then its their shot and the timer counts down again. They get a random shot. but this shot is 2/3 whereas it should be 1/3 IMO. Then the 3rd random shot they leave game. Giving opponents just over a 1 minute of time (in a standard 20sec game) 30 + 20 + 20 = 70... If they had the 3 shots which they should have. this gives them a minute and half of time to realise a game has started.

Just joined a guests game and game timer counted down and so did both shots.. heres screen shot of my chat window to show only 2/3 comes up but no 1/3

Nick can confirm, but thats what *should* be happening, and explains the phenomenon.

Before, when it was 5 shots and no carry between games, experienced players could win endless games against people who had left their computer..

Currently the auto game start timeout is counting as the first random shot.
