Hate Ronnie so much, wish he'd just retire like he always threatens to do, instead of messing the sport around. I want Higgins to win as ever, what a pro he is.

read his book before you say that hes had such a hard life and he means he will quit everytime he says it

No he doesnt mean he will quit, Look at the time he stuck a finger up at the fan then he lost his temper so he waled out of the game vs stephen hendry then he lost his rag during 1 frame and threw the balls, if it was anybody else they would of had fines or some sort of disiplin but he can do what he wants.

And its something about his mum being inside for drug dealing and dad did murder something soft like that but he is still a professional and he shouldnt do childish stuff people look at him for a hero and he does that!

Its not just him though everybody Amy Winehouse, Pete Dockerty they are all the same to much money and they always forget people do look up to them if they want to go of the rails dont get millions of fans love you who will do anything for you them let them all down when you don't even preform.

I think Ronnie'o is an amazing player but I would pick Stephen Hendry over him every time hes a pro and a snooker player that everybody should look up to

his dad went to prison and got 18 years because it was a 'racial attack' when he had alot of black friends and the murder was self defence. ronnies dad was the biggest person in his life in terms of support and help in the game. when he lost him he went through trouble after trouble depression, drug addiction drinking.
im not just 100% defending him some of the things he has done he shouldnt of and was bad but in the end he is the best player ever imo and should be given all the credit

One thing i don't understand about snooker and snooker fans, why is it exciting watch someone pot and clear every time? Yes it's good to see big breaks, but i also like the tactical side, thats why my fav player is John Higgins, he has both poting and safety, and never shows signs of petulance like Ronnie blatently does, it isn't good enough to say he's had a hard life, lots of people have had a harder life than he and have turned out better, I for one wouldn't mind to be a penny behind him.

ok well i can't quite believe im hearing so many people against the best snooker player ever im backing him to win the comp, make the most 147s this year win most money win most torneys

He is undoubtedly the best player in this era, not as good as Davis in the 80s and Hendry in the 90s though. It doesn't mean he can be disrepectful to the game in the ways that he is.

I got to agree he is the best for his era but the problem is he knows hes the best and that is why he acts in the way he does, Like if Gerrard just walked of in a middle of a football game the fans will still cheer for him next week becuase they love him and hes an amazing player.

But if you look at Davis he was a truely amazing player he was loved by the crowd and he treated them with respect same as Hendry did in the 90's,

Also i would prefer a mate of mine to win the grand prix Jamie Cope He only live down the road and hes a good guy played him twice lol he got a 104 break and a 78 I think it was lol but yeah good fella

just to remind, the thread is who's gonna win the snooker grand prix, not what are your opinions on ronnie.

I don't mind who wins, i'll be happy to see some good snooker and fantastic shot making/ break biulding.
