I am getting really frustrated when trying to get the correct angle for the pot. There are many times when I know the angle is not quite perfect but, but when I try to fine tune it, it jumps wildly. With the pressure of the ticking clock, I tend to just hit it and the outcome is the same - missed pot!
Why can't the game be changed to give a smooth user experience when trying to fine tune the angles? Does anyone else have a similar frustration? Or is it just me?
Cheers,
Kat

Try altering your mouse settings so it doesn't jump around as much, as you say. Go into the Control Panel and there should be an option called "Mouse". There you can alter the settings.
That is for Windows Vista. It may be different, but in a similar place, if you use XP.

You do get the odd instance where is like "skips" a pixel or 2 and you can't quite line the shot up, so to solve it you have to compensate for it, no the easiest thing to do but can be easy once learnt.

Up there with the worst advice to register with the forums haha!
On the subject... i have found it difficult of late to play my normal game because its skipping pixels but i think thats down to my computer personally. But try what the lads have said above and go to control panel and try a different setting with your mouse.

For XP, press start click on the Control Panel select ''Printers and other Hardware'' once to you have clicked that you should see a icon of a mouse.. click that and then you have options such as:
Buttons
Pointers
Pointer options
Hardware and track points.
And then I don't have a clue what to do from there.

^^ Agreed! I alway keep the sound off.
As for the post above - actually, you're quicker going to control panel > Mouse
You can try adjusting the settings there, but it's unlikely it wil help and will defintely alter the "feel" you clearly already have for the game.
Pixel skipping has been greatly reduced recently with improved game resolutions, but will always be present, it's just the nature of computer games.
Take a little time to think about what will happen if you move a little 90 degrees from the angle you think you need to move. There is no angle thats impossible, just try to think of how the balls will actually connect, rather than where the cursor is when you take the shot.
Hope that makes sense

another pointer about the shot clock is you could keep the volume on, and only join/create gameswith a 90 sec shot clock, that way you can get the old rulers/potractors out to work out the best angles

When I hear the ticker it tends to make me rush and ends up making me miss.. I have forgot when the ticking starts making the noise is it 5 or 10 seconds?
