Strange,initially i thought that 51 may be a multiple of 8(red and black),but it's not.Comes up way too often to be random,why?(I have got 5 myself out of 8 half centuries)

Ahhh yes, the 6th Motzkin number! It actually has significant but rather abstract applications in combinatorics (The sequence that is)!! Anyway, look at the number 47, apparently this is the 'inflated' 42 the supposed answer to everything (if you believe that ****)!! You'll probably notice the number 47 pops up a lot in TV series like Alias, Star Trek, Red Dwarf and even South Park. This apparent random number is suppose to crop up naturally through-out nature (although personally I believe it is the act of looking for something which manipulates the results... hence the reason for double blind trials I guess)!! However for the number 51 in funkysnooker, maybe it's a psychological barrier one crosses when attaining a half century, maybe your concentrating more on the pot rather than positioning at this stage.... anyone agree?

i agree wif my pal al coz once uve got ya 50 u just settle with it as soon as i hit 50 i usually miss on purpose incase of the fact that sum people leave the room then u dont get your half century so maybe thats y people miss aswell .....?

Maybe its a subconcious action.On 47 or 48 you have the line of low point balls which are often easier to pot.Less crowded up the bulk end of the table.

As for kicking my a ss funky,it's a distinct probability with your talent for the game.

Personally the reason i tend to get a lot of 51s is because im always looking for a half century and the lowest amount of reds u can have to make a half century is 3. so when there are 3 reds left i will try to take blacks with them all and if i clear the table that is a 51. Dont know if others are always thinkin of half centurys even when there are 3 reds left? but thats the reason for me. Another simple suggestion is that of all the half centurys 50s and 51s are the easiest to get thus wouldnt it be obvious to assume that they are achieved the most often?

lol 3 reds left half century, when i got three reds left im usually checking to see how many snookers i need to get back in the frame
