you hit your cue ball onto another ball, the cue ball you hit has to go off 3 cushes before hitting the remaining ball to get a point. Simple...

Introduction

Three-cushion carom is a game played with two cue balls, one red ball and a table with no pockets. The aim is to score a greater number of points than your opponent by connecting with both balls and three or more cushions before the second ball is hit (and without hitting the first ball again before hitting the second ball).

The lag

Each player plays a lag shot to determine who breaks
You must play the ball down table and off the bottom cushion without hitting any other balls, or landing on the opponents area
Player who's ball lies closest to the baulk cushion breaks
Break shot

On a break shot you must connect with the red ball first
Rules

A point is score by connecting with both balls and three or more cushions before the second ball is hit (and without hitting the first ball again before hitting the second ball)
An innings. While you achieve points you remain in play, continuing until you miss
Both players must play equal innings during the game
Winning the game

You require 5 points to win a game. If both players have 5 or more points after an equal amount of innings, both players have another innings each, until the score is no longer tied.

You can also use this page for reference:
http://www.funkysnooker.com/help.do?section=carom

This can be found in the help centre (the help link on the left hand side)... It can be a good idea sometimes to have a peak in there quickly to see if the answer to your question is available (there is also an FAQ section). But it's no trouble posting here!
