Says it all in the title really but theres only a few people i've seen with themselfs in their DP. I just thought it was pretty much the whole point of having a DP.

That could be the reson for some of us, but most people just want to retain a bit of privacy and/or anonymity when online, which is a valid and sensible choice.

Also, a well chosen pic can convey a lot about someones personality, football badges for example show peoples intrests, and Clan badges have become very popular recently.

People might not have enough confidence in themselfs to put a picture of themselfs on a public site.

But then again people who want to put thier picture on the site have the option to.

Nick has implemented this because he would like people to have that choice.

some people dont even have a DP plus some people think its sad others think its cool and others have clan pics but its a DP it doesnt matter

But it's down to preference, I prefer to find pictures that say something about my personality, usually sport related.

i would put a pic of myself up, but the lad in my pic looks more like a johnnydollar to be fair. (and you all thought it was me in my pic! haha)

There would be much less pelicans on the site if I put a pic of myself up. That's why.
