i don't know if this has already been commented about. But from what I can see, there is no thread, but if there is apologise beforehand.

Anyway I was wondering if maybe there could be the same tourneys, but categorize them into, newbie, adept etc etc, because its not really fair a newbie going into the first round against one of the best players of the game,so maybe this would help, any views or would it just not work lol?

I don't think its a good idea. People can purposely lower their rank just to enter a certain tournament, thus giving them an unfair advantage.

Also, tournaments are often the only place the lower ranked people can play the higher ranked people. From this, they learn new techniques and become a better player. If you remove this, they will never learn, will never improve, and probably leave the site as a result.

Keep the ideas coming though

It's like an FA cup tournie, anyone can play anyone, your lucky cos in other tournaments, if you look at real life snooker, there is seedings, in which top seed faces lowest qualifier, etc... so random is good.


Also not fair that all virts should face each other either

true mike, i dont think its right for newbies to challenge themselves to facing a good player.
