Hi everyone.. first post. How are you all doing?

Anyhoo, I just wanted to make a suggestion about ranked games. On more than one occasion I've named a room, for example "800 Ratings plus only". Each time, without fail, people with ratings much below 800 insist on joining. Then I get a torrent of pleading/begging which then turns into abuse when I refuse to play them.

"I don't care about the rating! I'll beat you!"

I know other people have had this problem a lot too.

Basically I was wondering if there could be an additional option when creating a room. "Minimum Rating". Basically if people tried to join the room and were below the minimum rating they would not be allowed to enter it.

Opinions? Would this be possible?

i agree totally as i have dun this too they giv the one lines 'u scared to play me' then they hurl abuse i agree totaly so nick make it happen plz plz plz

And perhaps a maximum rating too. I've wasted a lot of time going into rooms, waiting for people to click the "Im Ready" button, and then they do nothing... five minutes later, "Your rating is too high, no thanks".

Bump... Can a mod/admin tell us if this is happening?

1. What about being able to check the levels of ranked users you want to play?

For example:

( )Novice
( )Newbie
(X)Adept
(X)Professional
( )Virtuoso

2. Or maybe a feature that could show ranking stats on the game stats area so that you can find the sort of rated player you are looking for?

Example:

Room Name: farren's game
Owner: farren
Owner rating: 900.2
Owner Level: Virtuoso

and so on...

I like both of those ideas... the second one might not help this particular problem too much though, seeing as it won't stop people joining the game.

Either the first idea or my idea would work imo. Depends on what would be easier to implement.

Think we can all agree that this feature will improve the game. I hate the idea of some noob coming into the room saying "play me now" and start giving out abuse. Reality is if I win I'll get about 0.5 points which makes hardly no difference. Please bring in this filter option.

this really isn't gettting any better. It seems like every time I make a room with this type of name, 4/5 of these idiots rush to it one after the other. They all say the same things..: Come on! Why aren't you playing? You're just scared. Something has to be done about it.

I also think it might be a good idea to log some of the chat here when this does happen, to show that it is a problem.

just giv them a good thrashing then they will leave simple!
