When someone fails to shoot at the ball in time it takes a random shot for you, wouldn't it be much fairer for the waiting player to be given the option to have that or make the person at the table re-take again.
My problem with the random shot is mainly that you can end up snookered or your opponent can pot a ball without even being there to take the shot
just wondered what everyone thought

Thats exactly why its called a random shot.

Anything can happen.

And if you wait 10 - 90 seconds you could pot of a random shot.

If it snookers you its tough luck.
