Last night i was winning and suddenly the game just stopped the guy never flagged and i was waiting for 10-12 minutes for him to pot the final black but he never potted it then suddenly i got logged out, never happened before whilst playing funky... i never lost and he never won, i also expected an abandon game but that didn't happen either. But today my opponent was leading 26-0 and it happened again, i waited about 10 minutes this time before getting logged out, this time i lost the game and also got my first abandon game for about 7 months. Its only a defeat at the end of the day and I'm not too fussed about it but i will be if this keeps happening, any ideas to solve the problem or is it just a blip?

Maybe you were inactive on funkysnooker while waiting during these long minutes, and got logged out due to inactivity? If that's the case, just be sure you are active, e.g. write something in the chat section.

However I can't explain why the first one has been canceled and no one won it.

On the fist one i was talking to virtuoso107 then suddenly it happened, i tried typing and it wasn't coming up. The second one i was active also, i was typing to my opponent "whats going on?" but it wasn't coming up, next minute i get logged out... strange.

Are you sure you were responding? and you didn't lose your connection?...

My internet connection is normally spot on, and when it does that it normally comes up "ste_efc is not responding" right? Well it never done that.

You would only see that if you started responding again, otherwise you wouldn't see anything, and what you type would not appear until you gain connection again, if at all.

That could possibly be it, you usually get a log out message when you are logged out... did you manage to catch that?

You get logged out after 90 seconds though.. Ste says this happened after 10-12 minutes. I doubt it would be his connection if it took that long.

I did get a bunch of messages at the bottom Josh, can't actually remember them tho sorry, and yeah i was sitting there for a long time waiting for him to flag with just the black on the table and i was about 40 points clear and didn't get the win or defeat for getting logged out.

It could well be a genuine game error, in which case Nick would have received an error report... let's hope it isn't a recurring problem, and I'm sure it will be fixed asap if it is!

As for the second time, where you were logged out, and gained an abandoned game and a loss... it does sound as though an error at your end rather than the game itself... but again, any errors will show... so will be rectified.

Same thing happened on pool at 10.15 ish when tourny came up the whole site went down for like 2 mins wasnt a server reset tho we get warnings bout them i was one of the lucky ones who didnt close the window so when i logged bk in my tourny invite was still there its very odd.

Heres a question for u brain boxes lol on pool i click the log out button but it doesnt log me out so im constantly browsing any ideas why???

go to edit profile, then un-tick the box that says "remember ID" that should help.

When you log out properly the box gets unticked automatically, there's like a 20 minute gap after you log out where it usually still says browsing so likelihood is your still looking at your profile in that allotted time.

What browser are you on ?

Pool_babe, this has been known before, a few people were 'forever browsing'. A server restart usually rectifies it, but I have no idea as to why it happens!

ie7 no im logged in overnight i was miffed cause a friend sed i can see u at stupid oclock in morn i was in bed at that time lol so i logged out went out for like 4 hrs came bk type my name in and i was browsing still lol

Just been randomly logged out of the semis in the marathon tourny :S i actually waited 2 second this time :D.... tut!!!

3-0 it says i got beat and not one of us potted a ball, funny old game aint it .

Just been logged out again ranked, currently 983.9 and it took my rank, i was winning also! Needs sorting .

That happend on pool tues eve actually the whole server went down for bout 2 mins
