i was just wondering if maybe when you reach the quarter finals, you get like a little increase on yer ranking, specially for newbies which i am! i think for people to reach that far is a bonus and they cud at least get some sort of reward. maybe like 5.0 for quater, 7.5 for the semi, 10.0 for finals.

The original idea is good. It would make reaching rank 1000 possible though.

I think this would be nice, but only if it was for newbies. Sort of an extra incentive to get that far. With the way the ranking system has changed, I can't see a newbie getting up to 980/990, so that wouldn't be a problem.

Obviously, the downside is people who reset. I'm sure it is possible for the game to recognize who has reset, therefore not giving them the points bonus. Although anyone who resets and can get that far in a tournament consistently shouldn't need the extra points bonus anyway
