Maybe we should make a limit how many seperate threads you can post in at once, because a mate of mine came on the other day to check the site out (he helped me created and run my website) and untill now I have not noticed but he was right, when you go to a forum and you see every topic with a new name to the last post then it looks like a healty well used forum, but when you have the same persons name down the list for about 10/15 topics and also when their name is apearing on nearly every forum e.g Game Queries, Fun and Games, Sports Chat etc all at the same time, it looks of putting and the last thing you want is for all of the beginners to have 1 look at forums see thats its a minority forum to a select few and then leave becuase they either feel like they don't want to have an opinion against somebody with their name all over the forum and also like they should not be there.

I no it would be hard to add to the forum i'm just suggesting it as a way to tidy it up and make it back to a majority forum where if you go under any thread/topic nearly each would be a different person instead of the same competing against each other!

Also just a quick Idear, how about a section just for New Members let them come on say hi who they are etc, so that they get to no all of the other members just so we can show them we are not going hate them posting on the forums aswell.

No but thats not what I am getting at, You can post 10000000 times a day it does not matter, I'm getting at the other side, I no 3 people that wont even post in Fun and Games becuase its dominated by Me, becca, damee and pool_babe so they dont want to post there, so really instead of us keep going on and on pointless threads saying the same thing over and over again, we should be made to keep a limit let other people say something pointless and join in on a thread none of us are using etc

And you also got to remember its not all about keeping the existing users happy its about bringing new ones to the website! I don't care what anybody says no matter what nick did to the site me damee ste_efc becca and everybody else who is a regular are still going to play, so its about getting new people come and play and getting everybody more involved if people start using the forum more then they will be active ni the game more!

On my old site we would set targets to be hit and they were 1 in 4 would post 1 in 7 will be a frequant active user but you got remember when the 'newbie' has become a active users thats it hes in the keep net hes not going to leave so we adapt the website so we can get the next 100 active users then when they secure we change again all to meet the needs of new people becuase the old never go anywhere!

So the problem is that the new users are somehow scared of posting among the frequent users? That's most probably because it's human nature to not feel eased when first coming into an unknown place where everyone knows everyone. But I don't see what could be a solution for that, really... We surely can't prevent the frequent users to post!

Except the "New Users" forum, what are your suggestions?

A new users forum would be a good idea, so they get to no everybody we give them all a warm welcome let them no they can relax and have fun on the website

if you felt wanted and felt something good about the game would you tell your mates come and play? .. Yes

If you thaught that nobody was intrested just everybody spams the forum would you tell your mates play? .. No

I think anyone who thinks that is wrong. I'm pretty sure that whenever any new user posts a new topic in General Chat presenting him/herself, (s)he will get a warm welcome.
In my opinion the problem isn't the frequent users' attitude, but the newcomers', who don't always dare to take the plunge.

If we take away my idea of limiting the topics you can post in 1 time, and like you said when a new comer presents His/Her self they get a great welcome so if we had a Forum just so you are able to introduce yourself then all of the new comers that enter the website will realise we are all friendly and will give them a warm reception,

What could be done is when you click register you could possible get transferd to the 'Introduce yourself' forum so people can do it from the start then everybody will get to no everybody. Also it gets you of the mark from your first post and when I reply for example 'Hi James, I'm Simon' they imediatly no my name and if they see me posting on forums might want to follow suit and post after me or even talk to me in members bar when i'm around instead of coming getting bord becuase he will have no mates then leaving.

Now I'm not sure it would be a good idea to have a separate forum for the new comers, because frequent users would probably just not look into that forum. However if they post in General Chat, everyone will see it.

Yeah I no where you coming from but that means we will either have hundreds and hundreds of threads in General Chat saying Hi or we will have 1 thread that keeps continueing where the newbie just has the last post which then its not their thread and it does not make it uniquoe, all newbies should have their own thread call it what they wants let them introdcue themself and like I said unless you want to clog up GC with these posts then they will have to have their own Maybe put it after Clan Chat I don't no but I thnik its the only way it will work.

It won't be capped lol, and becca sorry but your wrong my website used to be all about the games and its not about who is on the forums like I am trying to get through its about getting more people onto the forums you go to members bar go on all their profiles see how many people have posted not many, its about creating more activity between the user and the game and its also about them becoming more involved like you post all the time etc so your already there but alot of people are not and if half of the games users used the forums then it would be much better!

If you register and upon registeration you can say Hi it breaks the Ice between you and all of the exisiting forum users and you give them a warm welcome they will come back again and again and that is what this is all about! Its nuthing to do with who posts now becuase we are going to keep posting its about the future

Every website each year should double with game hits so if in 2007 10,000 people played 2008 20,000 people should play, same with forum if 500 people post year later 1000 should and so forth all about getting more and giving more.

simon ........listen ........if people want to post they will, i reckon more people are concerned about the game, plus they cant post until theyve played 100 games anyways so by that time if they are friendly they should have already made a few friends ,the forums are there for everyone to see , only the people who enjoy posting will use them anyways

no your missing the point its all about increasing activity on the whole game not just the forum, why have a forum so 50 people can keep posting after each other its pointless its not even worth people posting no here hence why they don't.

You go to any big gaming website zone.com don't have a forum but had over 30,000 users on every day they made zone with a forum but deleted it becuase only 50 people kept posting over each other again and again and its pointless having something that so few people use when so many people play the games so its about increasing activity.

I no that there are over 20 registrations per day and I also no that 50% of them will never come back on again and I could also guarantee that this time next month there will not be 20 NEW regular posters! 620 new registrations a month give or take one and if 20 don't become regular then don't you agree something is wrong?

You need atleast half every day every month stayin on the game we get once a blue moon 250 people online when it could so easily be doubled

all im sayin is that you cant make people post , if they enjoy forums and posting then theyll post , if they just wanna play snooker then isnt that up to them , after all it is a snooker site

Like i said 50% (if not more) will never come back so something does need improving but you got to remember if you go to a forum see my name all over it its of putting but if you go see theres 100,000 posts all by different people gets you intrested in a healthy forum!

Also most of you will keep disagreeing with me because maybe most of you have not being in a situation where a website needs improving to bring people in, most of you will keep saying ohh its jsut a forum but its not every single aspect of the game website needs to be upto par and the forum is just at crucial as the game itself, just you wont agree becuase you never had to deal with it but i no what it is like and it will help out
