Just seen this post from buddytobud now correct me if I'm wrong but this is class!

Posted Image

Would it not be possible to have this as our permanent logo in the top left corner on the homepage!? Or would there be some logical reason behind why we couldn't (which I'm clearly missing).

I personally think the current one looks more professional... I don't really like webpages that constantly jump, hop, skip and dance. - But that's just me!

It's a cool little animation though, what's it done on?

I'm not sure it's acceptable to have it as the default logo, for the same reason that animated pictures are not allowed as user pictures: this could create unwanted lag on slower machines.

However we could have an option to switch between the moving and the static image, but that would be a bit more work to program for Nick, and I'm not sure it's worth it.

Its 1 click of a button to put the moving animation on though, and realisticaly the little image that is a minor 665Kb should not effect anybody computer but on the other side I think it look abit more professional as a still image

For once i'm with Josh on this one, I prefer static logos, probs cos i'm boring

It looks like it has been done on macromedia flash to me.

Thanks for the compliments, but to be perfectly honest, I actually prefer the static logo as the main logo because it looks more professional.

For those that are interested, I used Serif 3Dplus 2.0 Gif Animator in conjuction with HyCAD Version 5.32 (to vectorise the FunkySnooker man to an EMF file)

I used to use Cool3D (which would have made it a lot easier and look better to boot) until my PC blew up a few months ago and can't find my installation disks.

i like the animated logo but i agree that theres no need for it.However i do think that the current logo looks a bit dated and is in need of a fresh lick of paint.
