I think it is unfair that when playing in a tournament both players are disqualified if they do not complete the round in the allotted time.

It is surely not both the players fault that they did not finish. How can funkysnooker justify that a person who wud say have a rank of over 800 play a person who is maybe a newbie or has a rank of say 650. Obviously the higher ranked player should win and therefore finish quickly. But put 2 players with about the same rank together or 2 newbies and then it is bound to take longer as they are evenly matched.

The player with the higher scoreline when the time runs out should be put through to the next round. Slow punishment should not be given to the player that has done all the hard work.

It's not fair on newbies as they have no chance of winning otherwise.

This was covered fairly recently on this thread - http://www.funkysnooker.com/viewTopic.do?topicid=5123

To be honest the only games I've ever seen that have been dq are when people tap constantly for about 5 minutes. And if you aren't prepared to split them up, then it is your own fault that you are dq.
