why is it in a tourney about 12 people get byes i dont get it

It is just how it works, does it really matter though becuase how I see it it just puts you through to the next round but doesnt mean your still going to win it, wether you go out in the semis or first found you still havnt won so it works out fine

it gets it down to either 32, 16, etc... so the tournament functions properly.

its all random mate, i actually hate BYES because i prefer to play and get beat than get a BYE.

I hate the fact you have to wait a long time for the next round but thats how it goes.

Because otherwise you could end up with having like 3 people left for the final, which would make it akward, and as mike said, it gets it to 32, 16, 8, 4, 2 so its organised.
