hey all,

has there ever been, or any plans for a clan league or cup....

with more and more people joining funky snooker and more clans being formed, i think a clan league or cup would help keep the newer clans going strong!!!!!

as part of a new clan myself, the most difficult thing is not recruiting players, but keeping them interested during the initial stages......

i appreciate there would need to be some thought going into this (ie can new clans join once the league has started etc etc) but i would like to guage opinion on this, especially if it has been tried before!!!

Works great on pool needs 1 or 2 good reliable people to make it though

the thing is on pool, is that pool has lots more members than snooker and therefore more reliable to get a league game done but snooker is a different story, clans come and go just with a click so to suceed you need clans to stay and players not getting kicked out.

how about we run it with just a team from each clan - ie 7 players - odd number to ensure we get a result rather than a draw with 3 subs selected.....

sub 3

the subs will also take part in the match but their results will only count if any of the top 7 matches go unplayed.

we could try it maybe as a knock-out cup played over the course of a month giving each clan a week to play their matches........

with clan matches being played constantly anyway, i think it would just add a little bit of extra spice......

the first one is always the hardest to organise, but if say the staff/killers/assasins etc etc were knocked out in the first round of the first cup, you can be sure and certain they would be up for winning the next one

each clan can then have a ranking depending on how they perform

i also think it would definately promote clan membership throughout funky snooker

Only way these will work is if got made official like tournaments, but i know thats a long way off for the time being.

I did keep a tight ship for the clan league but as most things do they go down the pan.

Depending on how my pool vs snooker goes i may attempt to create this as i would be full of confidence.

Although i would need someone to help me and would be very strict on who goes into clans although its entirely up to you guys if you want me to have a go.

This would be in a month and a halfs time if i were to do this however

Exactly that is struggling at the moment aswell, everything does over here, has a good start then goes down hill, especially with clans

I still have high hopes for it though

If the league was ran throught the forum surely this would work, only team captains update the team results via the thread so its not too messy, each match should have its own thread tho

clan matches are ran now and they are fine they do get finished so i cant c a problem to be honest, i think it would be great and would make clan matches more exciting...
